Chick-fil-a

Looks like I'll be eating at Chick-fil-a a lot more often.

Hungry

Mmmm Mmmm hymns...

Sometimes I get in the mood for some good old-fashioned hymns. Right now I am listening to Crystal Lewis' Hymns (My Life). It is blessing my soul. I just feel closer to the Lord Jesus w/ hymns. Yes, I am holy! *smile*

Idle Idol

A few weeks ago FOX debuted its "new and improved" American Idol. That settles it! I will not be watching Idol anymore. After Paula left, the show just wasn't the same anymore. Now, Simon is gone. They've replaced the quirky Beauty and the savage Beast w/ J Lo and Steven Tyler. Gross! FOX just had to mess up a good thing.

Bored

I can B.E.T. there is someone else, Steve Harvey.

Once again Mr Steve Harvey will be hosting Celebration of Gospel (30 Jan 2011, BET). He's been hosting the show since its inception. I have a few questions: Can someone else do the job? Is he the only one qualified? Does he have a contract w/ BET to host a certain number of years? I'm just sayin'. Tye Tribbett is pretty witty. I trust that he could do a wonderful job. Or, what about Mr Kirk Franklin? He always brings the laughs. Or, perhaps ANY other comedian/comedienne???

Mormons in the Hood

Yesterday, I was extremely surprised to see the local Mormons on their bicycles. Being on their bikes was not the surprising part -- being in the hood was. Not only were they in the hood, but they were in the hood AT NIGHT. Wowsers! Let's just say they are extremely dedicated to proselytizing and by any means necessary.

Oprah

This week Oprah revealed that she had a sister...er, half sister. It was supposed to be some big surprise. Well, I wasn't surprised in the least. I mean, it's not as if Oprah's family history is sooooo pristine that this information would be jaw-dropping. I mean, just google Oprah's family history and you'll find all kinds of things.

You can't find too many people these days that would speak against the "all mighty" Oprah. So many people are blinded by her "good" works that they don't notice that she's weird and talks crazy. For those of us who are Christians we shouldn't give her the time of day. I pray for her salvation.

I watched Oprah for 20 years so I know what I'm talking about. She's disconnected and truly unreal. I hope one day she will receive the Lord. Until then I'm not interested in her shows, her network, her movies or any of her projects. I am no longer impressed.

Enlightened

Facebook

Sooo... I just cancelled my FB account. It wasn't too hard. I had refrained from using the site for 21 days and that helped. I simply clicked DEACTIVATE, answered a few questions about why I was leaving, then I hit submit.

I knew that FB was just too ingrained in my life when I had to SIT and CONSIDER why I wanted to cancel the account. I talked it over with my husband and my friends. Most of them were like, "Why???" I mean, they were overly concerned. It was as if I was a martian or something. I mean, why would anyone want to cancel their FB account??? That's just preposterous. Hahaha!

Anyway, I hope I don't go back to it. I want to stay far, far away. Anytime one entity has the monopoly on peoples' lives I get curious. I'm gonna try to stay away from good ole FB and see what the end's gone be.

Hallelujah!
