Pastor Ray had a wonderful idea today. What if we boycotted the music that is misogynistic, violent and degrading (to women AND men)? He compared it to the Montgomery bus boycott in the 1950s-1960s. African Americans took a stand against racism, discrimination, hate, etc. I think WE should boycott the music industry. We should demand that they produce music worth listening to. I’m more than a v*gina, b*tch, ho, etc. And OUR men (God bless our men) are more than thugs, thieves, murderers, liars, cheats, etc. Look, I’ve been on this campaign-bandwagon-boycott for a long time. I’ve long since stopped listening to that foolishness. Our sisters are still getting paid for shaking their butts and degrading themselves. They think they are empowering themselves by MAKING DAT MONEY, but they are degrading themselves. They are worth more than a fat booty: A man NEEDS TO PAY WITH HIS LIFE for that good stuff. I mean, he needs to lay down his life and marry the woman and die to himself for her well-being. Men can do so much, but ladies we have to demand respect. I bet if we start telling the no-good Negros h*ll-to-the-NO they will get it right...eventually. It really takes much prayer. Why? Because some of our brothers (and sisters (like me)) did not have role models of godly fathers.
Let’s do our part and stop buying the music that disrespects us as a people. The music industry is only pumping out that MASS MESS because WE keep buying it. Pass it on. Let’s boycott the system and DEMAND CHANGE.
